Order and delivery updates
Confirm, dispatch, arrive — the three messages that stop 'where is my order'.
"Where is my order" is the most common support message a shop receives, and every one of them is a message that did not have to be sent.
Three updates answer it before it is asked: the order is in, it has gone out, it should be with you. The last one asks a question, which turns a delivery notification into the moment somebody tells you it arrived broken — while you can still do something about it.
Wire the delays to your actual dispatch times rather than these.

Your order should have reached you by now. Did everything arrive as it should?
